Project Manager:

Type: Full Time

C.V. Lloyde Audiovisual, a nationally recognized and leading audiovisual design and integration firm has an immediate opening for an experienced AV Project Manager. Multiple positions available with Illinois Office employees and remote employee options available.  Qualified candidates must prove a minimum 5 years industry experience and have Avixa CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D certification. Position requires strong estimating and project management skills. AQAV certification preferred, and candidate must be willing to test for further industry certifications. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages own time to perform within defined schedule.
  • Responsible for redlining CAD documentation for as-built purposes.
  • Responsible for communicating punch items to management.
  • Responsible for IP configuration of all AV devices residing on a network.
  • Responsible for filling out IP tables and storing these on the project server.
  • Advanced capabilities for audio system setup and gain structure.
  • Responsible for managing versions and storing final DSP code on the project server.
  • Develop project schedules
  • Oversee team of technicians
  • Create technician task lists
  • Monitor inventory control
  • Identify on-site and internal issues
  • Establishes work plan for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel

The Ideal candidate will offer:

  • General CTS preferred.
  • Able to study towards and obtain CTS-I / CTS-D within 2 years of taking position.
  • A thorough, demonstrable understanding of systems integration techniques.
  • Skilled in the programming of audio DSP units from multiple vendors.
  • Skilled in the loading of Crestron and AMX code and user interfaces.
  • Understands basic IP networking.
  • Can create customer training presentations in PowerPoint if required.
  • Troubleshooting ace.
  • Excellent customer facing skills.
  • Solid audio-visual system industry experience including sales, service, project management, and/or installation of control systems, audio equalization, and video conferencing desired
  • Understand AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques
  • Understand technical and construction documents
  • Prior supervisory experience in a geographically dispersed and matrix environment preferred

Senior AV Technician:

Type: 
Full-Time

C.V. Lloyde Audiovisual, a nationally recognized and leading audiovisual design and integration firm has immediate opening for a Senior AV Technicians. Multiple positions available with Illinois Office employees and remote employee options available.  Qualified candidates must prove a minimum 5 years industry experience and have Avixa CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D certification. Position requires strong estimating and project management skills. AQAV certification preferred, and candidate must be willing to test for further industry certifications. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of all of the following:
    a. Cable pulling, cable terminating, rack building, and installation practices used for professional audio-visual systems
    b. Different types of audio and video signals and cabling used in professional audio-visual systems
    c. Professional audio-visual systems integration, system controls, user interfaces, and computer systems
    d. Basic test equipment used for installing and troubleshooting professional audio-visual systems (video signal generator, audio signal generator, multimeter)
  • At least five years of work experience in the maintenance and installation of professional audio-visual systems.
  • Must understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Custom fabrication and termination of cabling rack prep, multi-pins, and electronic equipment racks as related to the integration of professional, audio, video, lighting, and computer-controlled systems.
  • Proven experience with hardware, rigging systems, brackets, etc.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, clients, and management

The Ideal candidate will offer:

  • Associate's degree (or equivalent military or vocational training/experience) in an electrical, electronics, or mechanical technology field
  • Experience with networking cable terminations
  • Knowledge of AQAV commissioning practices and procedures
  • Basic networking skills
  • Knowledge or ability to learn the campus networking tools needed for network jack assignments and IP address assignments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, and well organized.
  • Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid and current driver’s license.
